
Financial Transparency
Founded in 2000 as the Home Option Program (HOPE), and then later with the incorporation of Two Roads Charter School in the fall of 2010, our school philosophy has always been from a conservative approach to generating and managing our finances. Two Roads Charter School is a public charter school within the Jefferson County School District (the largest school district in the State of Colorado), and is currently serving over 640 students in grades K through 12. We employ more than 80 teachers, education support professionals and administrators.
During its 2010 session, the Colorado General Assembly enacted the “Public School Financial Transparency Act” as part of House Bill 10-1036. The Section 22-44-304 of the Colorado Revised Statutes states, “Commencing July 1, 2010, and on a continuing basis thereafter, that each local education provider shall post financial information on-line, in a downloadable format, for free public access.” The Act defines “Local Education Providers” to include both district schools and charter schools. To meet these requirements, TRCS and HOPE have posted the following items:
